Do these little faces look familiar?
That’s Churro (formerly Pumpernickel) and Crouton, and I am pleased to see that they’re continuing their extensive training as naptime companions – and doing very well at it! They are now on Instagram – check them out at @CrumbsInColorado.
I just noticed that Instagram offers an embed option (I may have noticed that in the past, but it seems like all new information to me right now) – so y’all tell me this: can you see the picture below? If everyone can see embedded images, I might have to start a regular social media embedded post on former fosters so that those not on social media can see them without me having to download pictures, watermark them, and upload them (in other words, it’d be a lot easier for me).

I’m not sure I expected Bolt (left) and Dillydally to be the first kittens to eat mama’s food, but they were going to town this morning!

Throw back Thursday: In 2017 we fostered this little orange floofball named Andouille (and his siblings: Beignet, Praline and Roux, and their mother Nola). One day, when Andouille (and his siblings) were 18 days old, Andouille marched on over to his mother’s plate of canned food and started eating. People on the internet acted like I had tied Andouille down and was force feeding him. “But he’s a BABY he shouldn’t be eating SOLID FOOD, what are you doing, he’ll diiiiiiiie.” etc.
Somehow, despite the dire predictions, Andouille survived. He was adopted with his sister Beignet (they are now Andre and Bella), and they are gorgeous floofy cats, who you can see on Facebook.
We’re gonna need a bigger boat (whale) before long.

I can see the Instragram embed! It looks cool, definitely could be used. I can scroll the images and they are high quality. Great to see them doing well in their new home! And great to see your kittens eating solids, growing so faaaast. Everyone looks adorable as usual.
Yes, I can see the Instagram post here–in Feedly, it just shows as “view this post on Instagram” but that’s fine, I have no problem clicking through, if it makes things easier for you. The photos tend to be worth it!

The embedded image worked for me, and as someone who is not on social media I appreciate every little snippet and Crumb I can get. That former foster social media embedded post sounds like a great idea to me! It’s always such a treat to see updates.

“People on the Internet” act like anything that doesn’t match their expectations and preconceived notions is EEEEEEEEVIL and must be ERADICATED FOR THE SAKE OF DEMOCRACY. It makes me understand Winston Churchill’s comment about a five-minute conversation with the average voter.

The Crumbs pictures work perfectly, I hadn’t to leave this webpage and they’re fab! Fantastically settled almost immediately.

Andouilli is so adorable. I wasn’t following you then. We have a ginger rescue cat that is food obsessed. I have heard that gingers have a tendency to be like that. We bought an automatic feeder so that he has small meals throughout the day. Before he would gorge his food and then throw up. I think you are amazing and LOVE your posts!
