Advice please: I have 3 abandoned foster fail kittens who will be neutered soon (all males). They are rambunctious. How do you keep multi-kittens quiet and safe during recovery? Thanks!
Honestly, I don’t. The vet uses surgical glue (rather than stitches), and I watch them to be sure they’re not messing with their incisions for the first couple of days. Other than that, I let them do what they’re going to do – boys, especially, react to neuter surgeries as though something’s different and they don’t know what, but it doesn’t slow them down at ALL.

Patsy saw Auntie Alice and went over to say “hi.” Alice sniffed noses with her.
Then gave her the ol’ hisseroo.
“Well THAT was rude,” thought Patsy.
Then she followed Alice so she could sneak a sniff of her tail while Alice was looking at Fred, hoping for ham. (There was no ham, but hope springs eternal.)
But later I was cutting up some (raw) chicken to make dinner, and Alice always gets a few pieces of chopped raw chicken. Owen joined in, and Alice only hissed once or twice.
At someone’s suggestion, I got this track toy/feather teaser/laser toy from Chewy. The kittens like it, it’s GREAT if I need to distract them so I can do something without their interference – uh, HELP, I meant to say – and the laser really caught Charlie’s attention.
He backed off after a while and watched the kittens play. And Patsy looked over and saw him and was all “Oh, it’s Uncle Charlie. I liiike Uncle Charlie.”
So she sashayed over to say “hi.”
He retreated to his favorite box to have a think, and I was SO sure Nolan was going to climb in with him.
But he opted for the pie plate instead.

Nolan, Owen and Patsy wish you a happy Thlurrrpsday!
🎉 Former foster Crumpet is livin’ the life! Her silly, sweet face just makes me smile every time. ❤️ (Thanks, Geeta!)

I thought I might sleep in this morning, but the kittens decided they needed to wrestle on top of me, so there was no sleeping in for me.
Nolan’s snoopervising to make sure Auntie Alice stays hydrated.
The kittens have discovered Khal playground, and are having a blast, while Auntie Alice (on the back of the recliner) pretends they’re not there.
Pink’s a good color for you, Nolan.
Good night innernets. (Patsy & Owen)
