I got out the feather teaser AND the good camera, and got some good shots! (I take the vast majority of my pictures and all of my videos using my phone – it’s a Pixel 9 Pro XL – but every now and then I get out my Sony DSLR.) This is the first time I used the camera with these guys, so the sound of it freaked them out for a minute, but they got used to it pretty quickly – and besides, they had more interesting things to focus (ha ha, see what I did there?) on.

I love how Tango, Sashay and Flamenco are looking at the feather teaser, but Mambo is staring at ME. He knows who’s running that thing.

“Why you encouraging this behavior, lady?” wonders ChaCha.

This shot cracks me up. Looks like Mambo’s butt is lighter than the rest of him.

And a crash landing atop Tango.

Another crash landing! His directional equipment must be on the fritz.

Queen Alice wants to know why those kittens are jumping around upstairs and disturbing her rest.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) this weekend.

Former fosters Canasta (2021) and LJG (Lord John Grey) (2022)! That first picture has me HOWLING. What a great shot – Canasta certainly hasn’t gotten any less silly, has she? (You can follow Canasta and LJG on Facebook and Instagram!) (Thanks Jimmy!)

ChaCha says “Lady, these kittens are NUTS. I blame you.”

The kittens are very jumpy and leapy and bouncy today (and every day!)

Tango will not be sharing his toy today, thank you.

Former foster Cosmos (formerly Monty, from earlier this year). Tabatha says “When you are a big boy but still sleep with toys. ” How absolutely adorable is he?! ❤️ (Thanks, Tabatha!)

Good night innernets. (Tango & Flamenco on the top level; Mambo & Sashay on the lower level.)

“This is where the Churu goes,” says ChaCha, in case I’ve forgotten.

“GIMME that phone, I needs to take a selfie!”

Mambo’s just minding his own business and finds himself the victim of a Tango drive-by!

Sashay flirts with the ceiling fan.

If you were wondering, permanent resident Charlie (who is 5 years old) is still Da BAYbee.

Mambo-Tango pie (my favorite!) with a side of the ol’ chomperoo.

I’m catching a little attitude from Sashay (left) and Flamenco.

Good night innernets. (Mambo (front) and Tango)

“I’ve got it! I’ve got it!” says Tango. (He didn’t.)

Line ’em up! From left: Mambo, Tango, Flamenco & Sashay.

ChaCha’s playing with Mambo – kicking his butt, really – and he shows off his fighting style, which I like to refer to as “the floppity fish.” Whatever works, kid.

Former fosters mother Kristi (dilute tortie) and her daughter Katia (black)! We fostered them in 2018. They spent several years at Michelle’s, then Kristi was adopted last year, and they came back for Katia last month. How sweet is this pair? The SWEETEST! ❤️ (THANK YOU to their wonderful adopters!)

Tango and Mambo are being wild, and mama ChaCha is just trying to stay out of the line of fire.

Former fosters! Sharon reports that Rupert [formerly Richie] and Meander, having helped trash my office, are now sitting with me at the dining table. Mollie [formerly Millinocket, 2018] on my water, no one eats alone here. I had to get another glass, as evidently that one is hers. Later, Mollie kept an eye on Sharon, who clearly needs a lot of snoopervision! (Thanks, Sharon!)

Tango (left) and Mambo are wondering WHO put all this STUFF in their pie crust. There’s no room in there for them! (Yeah, right. We all know they’d climb right in on top of those toys if they wanted to get their pie on.)

Good night innernets. (Flamenco)

Always love your action photos and so many foster updates! It’s great to be alive!
Those kitten tummies when they stretch for the teaser; I want to reach out and tickle them!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the flying pictures!!! They are AWESOME
I love it when Mamas take their kitties DOWN!!! And flippity fish is the perfect description of his fighting ‘style’.
Flying kittens are wonderful, of course, but I have to say, it’s the update on Kristi and Katia which really makes my heart happy, especially the pic of Katia chilling on her human’s lap in front of the fireplace. For someone who was here when she was first being fostered and remembers exactly how much she did NOT want any sort of contact with humans at that point… well, I suppose it’s simplest to just call down blessings on the heads of everyone who put in the time and effort to win her over, and say that it’s an amazing little miracle you’ve all managed to pull off. <3
Ditto!
Cha-Cha, darlin’. Have you never learned how to get kids to sleep? Run them around and wear them out!
I saw a kitten on a video somewhere. He didn’t have back legs. He walked on his front legs with his butt in the air. According to his foster parent, he was doing fine.
Robyn,
As a former owner of 46 cats I thoroughly appreciate your work here. You are to be commended for your patience and creativity in this undertaking. Lord knows it cannot be easy. Your photos and captions are right on the mark. Very good work.
Thank you for including me in your mailing. And my family and I wish you and yours the very best this holiday season.
Thank you! 🙂
All your photos & videos are just wonderful (and the comments that accompany them are hilarious), but Monday’s series of balletically leaping kittens really are among the best I’ve ever seen. They made my day!
