On February 24, 2013, Catherine (Kate) came to us from a woman in Athens. Kate showed up in her yard, started making herself at home, and an examination by a vet showed that she was pregnant. Her kittens will be named after royal figures, though the names will not necessarily be restricted to UK royalty.
Kate had her babies on March 19th! There are five of them, and they are absolutely beautiful (two tuxies, two tabbies, one black). Read about them beginning here. (Their weight chart is at the bottom of this page.)

Update: Kate was adopted on June 15th!
Charming was adopted on June 27th. Jareth (now Sooty) was adopted on July 9th, into the same family as Charming (now Toby).
Aslan was adopted on July 12th!
On August 17th, Leia and Buttercup were adopted together!

Princess Kate is doing an AWESOME job with her babies. Meatballs indeed! (Which reminded me of the TV show “All in The Family”. There would be a new name theme for a future litter – Archie, Edith, Gloria, Michael, etc.)
Good idea. There are many to choose from! To name a few: George, Louise (or Weezy), Irene, Frank, Maude, Lionel, Kelcy, Stretch and of course, Sammy Davis, Jr.!
The weight has almost doubled in 7 days. They look so healthy, that is an awesome mommy.

I wonder if there’s been a litter named after M*A*S*H characters (Hawkeye, BJ, Trapper, Klinger, Radar (pretty sure we have or had a Radar at the shelter – black kitty?), etc.)
