As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog post, the Brunch Bunch went home Monday evening! Here are the rest of the pictures I took while that photogenic bunch was with us.

Maple up in the clouds, havin’ a think.

Rainbow Maple. (There’s a crystal suncatcher in the window that someone sent us in memory of Natalie, and when it catches the sun in the morning, I like to think that Natalie’s checking in on us. When I took this picture, I told Maple Natalie was giving her a kiss.)

Waffle says “ROWR.” (How perfect is this picture? I swear that boy could be a supermodel.)

I got my hair cut Tuesday morning, and when I got home, Waffle followed me around, staring at me. I think he liked the new ‘do!

A Waffle in a basket.

Muffin giving me the Precious Moment eyes.

And again. (She was pretty sure it was Churu time. And she was right!)

The window bed was far and away Mocha’s favorite place to hang out while they were here.

That’s Waffle’s traveling crate, and while the Brunch Bunch was here, I left it (open) in the closet so he could hang out in it if he wanted to. He did a few times. Tuesday afternoon I pulled it out of the closet and put it in the room, and Mocha climbed right in and said “Alrighty, let’s go!”

Maple and Muffin teaming up to demand Churu.

Mambo using Sashay as a foot rest. Comfy!

Sashay in my lap, havin’ a snooze.

It’s not Thlurrrpsday, but ChaCha doesn’t care.

“What doin’, lady?” wonders Flamenco.

ChaCha keeping an eye out for the garbage truck.

The kittens were vaccinated Monday evening, so they were pretty quiet yesterday. Mambo (top) and Tango took over this cat tree for the better part of the day.

And Flamenco (left) and Sashay claimed the pie plate.

ChaCha spent the better part of yesterday in the dining room. She was pretty happy, checking out the birds and snoozing. I went in a lot and kept her company, and she took a long nap in my lap. When I returned her to the foster room, the kittens woke up, looked at her, and then went right back to sleep.

Charlie, under his favorite tree. (Picture taken in August; the grass isn’t that green currently!)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.

Can you believe these guys are NINE weeks old? True story! What I can’t believe is that I wanted to get a lined-up picture of them, randomly put them in the top of the cat tree, and realized later that they were lined up according to weight (which is how I have them arranged in the weekly comparison photos – Sashay, Flamenco, Mambo, Tango.) Kinda neat!

(PS: Forgotten Felines of Huntsville doesn’t accept applications on kittens until they’re 10 weeks old. These guys will be 10 weeks old next Tuesday. In case you were wondering!)

See their weight chart right here.

Yes, they ARE still nursing occasionally, and ChaCha is letting them do so. Starting today, she’ll get a few hours by herself where she can chill out, watch birds, and snooze undisturbed. Depending on how she reacts to that (some mamas like it, some don’t), she’ll either get more time on her own, or not. (Kittens, from left: Mambo, Sashay, Tango & Flamenco)

Flamenco tumbles Tango, there’s an excellent mid-air leap, and then Mama growls at the garbage truck!

I gave this little box to the kittens over the weekend. I’ve occasionally seen a single kitten hanging out in it, but didn’t realize that two could stuff themselves in that box (it’s pretty small). I guess where there’s a will, there’s a way. (Flamenco & Tango)

Sashay recently discovered this snake toy – which came from a Cat Lady Box in 2023ish – and has become OBSESSED. (Yes, when she’s adopted it will go home with her!)

Mambo-Sashay-Tango loaf! (My favorite!) Flamenco was busy elsewhere, doing very important Flamenco things, and was uninterested in joining in with this slackery.

ChaCha has had most of the day on her own in the dining room without kittens to harass her, and she’s not hating it! (Wait ’til she finds out she gets her own entire Churu and doesn’t have to share it!)

Good night innernets. (I want to say this is Mambo, but honestly I’m not entirely sure. Could be Tango. I dunno!)

My time to shine has come!! As official Mambo and Tango Teller Aparter (based on their nose patterns where the white goes up further on Mambo) I can tell you that the final photo is Mambo. I feel so useful! 😛
