In case you missed, on Saturday…
Patsy went home! She joins a family that includes former foster Cruise (now Lily), along with some other kitties to be friends (and cuddle) with. Her name will remain Patsy.
And then on Sunday morning…
Owen and Nolan went home! They join a family that includes some kitty siblings AND two human brothers. The names of the human brothers? Owen and Nolan! Owen-the-kitten and Nolan-the-kitten will be getting new names, but they want to get to know them first and see what names arise.
I think this is the first time in recent memory that a mother and all her kittens were adopted locally!
Today’s post includes the last of the pictures I took of Nolan, Owen and Patsy.
Nolan’s all “Get a load of this foot!”
Nolan talking to the feather teaser, while Patsy watches.
Patsy was talking to the feather teaser, but she looks like she’s smiling here.
Patsy, Nolan and Owen hanging out.
Nolan in the pink Adirondack. I love how his tail is casually draped over the arm of the chair.
Patsy’s just a pile o’ floof, curled up in the track ball toy.
Owen was bunnykicking that bunny (ironic, no?) and paused to see what I was doing.
Nolan, Owen and Patsy: properly organized.

The kittens are starting to fill that pie plate! From left: Mambo, Sashay, Tango and Flamenco.
Sashay toddles across the crate to join her siblings.
Flamenco looks SO comfy on her bed made of brothers.
Sashay’s all “Mama. MAMA. MAMA!” and ChaCha’s all “?”
“Hey! How’d you get in there, kid?”
“I don’t KNOW!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Esmeralda is all “I was just starting to like those kittens and now they’re gone!”
I didn’t ever actually see Esmeralda playing with Patsy, Nolan or Owen, but they’d play near each other – and she was starting to be very interested in watching them play (in my experience, the next step is nearly always joining in playing WITH them), but then they were adopted. Ah well – them’s the breaks.
Now that they’re adopted, she’ll be spending her days upstairs with me in my bedroom/office – when Charlie’s out back, we’ll shut the door and let her wander around the house a bit.
She spent most of yesterday afternoon in my office, snoozing in front of the window and looking very, very happy. She is such a sweetheart!
Charlie certainly can take up some room on that bed.
Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) this weekend.
Nolan naps, and the hummingbird hangs out and thinks “They look so sweet and peaceful when they’re asleep.”
When making kitten pie (my favorite!) it’s important to be sure your filling is evenly distributed across the crust. I’ve done an excellent job here, and mama ChaCha approves.
The kittens and the spiral tunnel and other random moments.
It’s not Thlurrrpsday, but do you think (from left) Nolan, Owen and Patsy care? They do NOT. (Every day is Thlurrrpsday, if you ask them.)
The Tiny Dancers are hanging out in their crate considering figuring out how to walk, and mama ChaCha is having some time to herself.
Esmeralda is bright-eyed and ready to play. (She likes ping pong balls!)
Patsy’s little shaved belly is the CUTEST.
Good night innernets. (Patsy & Owen)
“We’ll take that Churu any time, lady.” From left: Nolan, Patsy & Owen.
Patsy in the Fruitasan, then and now: at 5 weeks old and almost 13 weeks old!
Owen and Patsy, watching live-action bird TV. (And you can see a bit of Nolan over there on the left. He was out cold.)
Hooray, hooray, Patsy was adopted today! She joins a family that includes former foster Cruise (now Lily), as well as some other kitties for her to play and snuggle with. She will remain Patsy! Happy life, sweet girl. ❤
It took about a day for Esmeralda to go from squeaking at the kittens if they got too close to being perfectly fine with them. She hasn’t played with them (yet?), but as long as they’re not RIGHT up in her face, she’s mostly just curious about them. (Pictures taken before Patsy went home earlier.)
A minute with mama ChaCha, who is just the SWEETEST. Is the belly a trap? Watch and find out! (Okay, okay – the belly is NOT a trap!)
🎉 Former fosters Arlo (formerly Nigel) and Emmylou (Matilda)! Bethany said: “I feel good about my decision to adopt them together. ❤️ ” They are just so SWEET! (Thanks, Bethany!)
Good night innernets. (From left: Flamenco, Mambo, Tango & Sashay)
Keeping Nolan clean is a tough job – but Owen’s up for the task!
Hooray, hooray, Owen and Nolan were adopted (locally) today. They join a family with some big kitty siblings, AND some human brothers as well. Their human brothers’ names? Owen and Nolan! (Owen and Nolan the kitties will get new names because otherwise that could get very confusing!) Happy life, sweet boys! ❤️
Patsy was adopted yesterday! She joined a family that includes former foster Cruise (now Lily) and other kitties with whom she can flirt, play, and snuggle. Here’s the video of some of my favorite pictures of her while she was with us – from the day she was born (June 29th) until yesterday. ❤
A minute at the milk bar. ChaCha is keeping those kittens very well fed!
Sashay is the smallest of the Tiny Dancers, and the only one I can still hold in one hand. I mean, she’s not sure she WANTS to be held in one hand, but she didn’t complain.
Good night innernets. (Left: Sashay. Top: Flamenco. Middle: Mambo. Bottom: Tango)
