I feel very strongly that Pumpernickel and his mama were talking smack about me just now.

It’s the Ciabatta coming out of his burrow! Does that mean spring has arrived?

Ciabatta and Pumpernickel settle down for a half-hearted game of Slappy Paws.

It’s a Babka pie, nice and warm from the sun. Perfect! (And my favorite, of course.)

Pita in my lap, feelin’ sleepy and grumpy.

It’s a Crouton pie wondering just what the heck I think I’m doing. (My favorite!)

The Fruittasan is still a favorite with this bunch, as illustrated by Babka.

Fred always says that Charlie looks like a kangaroo in the face, and yep. I can see it!

It’s a Ciabatta-Crouton pie with just a dash of Pita – my favorite!

Available for adoption: Crumpet! Read her description (below) and email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.

OUT OF AREA ADOPTIONS are allowed, but adopters must come here to Huntsville, Alabama to complete the adoption.

Crumpet (DOB 1/24/22) had been hanging around outside an area school (where she was likely dumped), obviously pregnant and desperate for help. She was trapped and brought into foster at the end of January, and after a timid beginning she warmed up and decided that the indoor life was pretty darn nice. She gave birth to five kittens on February 5th, and has been a wonderful mother to them. Now that her kittens are mostly raised, it’s time for her to find her forever home where she can be the baby herself.

Crumpet is a little bit of a scaredy cat and can be timid at first. We assume that she’s been through a lot in her young life, and it takes her a little while to learn to trust, but she’s such a love bug that her need for attention allows her to get past her fear. She loves to be petted – we can not stress this enough, LOVES to be petted! – and will let you pet her for a good long time as she walks back and forth and rubs against you. She has a very sweet purr that she turns on as soon as you start petting her. She will flop down against your leg or near you – she hasn’t been a lap cat yet in her foster room, but that very well might change as she grows more comfortable (and doesn’t have a passel of kittens to worry about.) She loves to curl up in a basket, on a soft bed, or even in the middle of the floor and just hang out. She’s learning to be playful as her kittens get older – she likes to bunny-kick stuffed toys, really likes catnip, and has a favorite toy in the form of a catnip-filled green bean (and yes, that will go home with her, along with a couple of extras.) She has not been around other adult cats in her foster home, but with a slow introduction, she should do fine with other cats. She also has not been around dogs, but would likely be fine with nice dogs.

Crumpet will be spayed on April 9th and can go home soon after.

Pita and Crumpet are hungry and telling me allll about it. Belly up to the chips-n-dip platter, kids, it’s time to eat!

Pita is always SO curious about what I’m doing!

Ciabatta in the pink Adirondack chair, chasing his tail. I mean, where else are you gonna chase your tail, am I right? Then he discovers it’s a little easier to catch a tail when it’s not actually attached to you.

Crumpet is a multi-tasker: she can play with her green bean toy AND kick a kitten (in this case Pita) away from the milk bar, all at the same time. So talented!

Good night innernets. (Ciabatta)
