Carmy was digging through the box in search of a toy, when he got distracted by the ceiling fan.
It’s winter, which means it’s low humidity, which means it was time for the humidifiers to come out of storage. Richie “discovered” this one (there’s one in the foster room that’s the exact same humidifier, and it has somehow escaped his notice) and he was fascinated.
“This is all very interestin’, lady.”
It was time to hang out in the bathtub, and Tina was DETERMINED to figure out how to turn the faucet on, but she had no luck.

Charlie loves to curl up and sleep on this little bed in Fred’s office. I’m surprised he still fits, but look at that – you could nearly fit another cat in that left over space!

Carmy’s all “What? Is comfy!” That keyboard protector is one of the better things I’ve bought. I still have to kind of look around the kittens when they’re hanging out there, but at least they aren’t tromping across my keyboard and making me yell “What button did you press that made THAT happen?!” 100 times a day.

Richie, Carmy and Tina (but ESPECIALLY Richie) just love that dangly mouse toy. I call it the dangly mouse toy, but I got online from Amazon and they have it listed as “Hanging Door Bouncing Mouse Cat Toy.” (And it comes in a 2-pack, so apparently I’ve got a second one around here somewhere.) They have a lot of fun with it, but if you buy one I encourage you to NOT let cats play with it unsupervised; when I’m not around, the toy lives in a drawer.
⚠️🚩It’s a TRAP. I repeat: the belly IS A TRAP⚠️🚩 Don’t be fooled by that sweet face, those sweet bunny paws, that soft and silky fur. You touch the belly, the trap springs closed! 🪤 (Except when it does not. You never know which way it’s gonna go. Err on the side of caution!)

Can you share the humidifier brand name that you are using? Thanks!!
Upstairs I have two Pure Enrichment humidifiers (this one) and downstairs I have two LEVOIT LV600S humidifiers (this one ). We’re on our third year with them, and they’re standing strong. I like them, especially the fact that they’re all top-fill so I can just walk around with a water pitcher twice a day and fill them up.
I love those pictures of Richie with the humidifier!
Looking at the past entries, “Frankie” caught my eye in the 2019 title, so I had to go have a look at that sweet boy. Enjoyed seeing so many gone but not forgotten permanent residents – Dewey, Jake, Kara, the aforementioned Frankie, and Archie. And one magnificent creature who is happily still with us – Khal!
