Reverb on the top of the cat tree and Mimosa below him – both looking at me like “Whatta you want, lady?”

Reese loves to hang out in that wall cube.

Reverb was sitting there minding his own business and ALONG CAME FIZZ.

Reverb continued minding his own business while Fizz gave him a kiss.

Reverb said “Lady, you see the nonsense I put up with, here?”

Fizz says “I fit perfectly here!” Indeed you do, you little goober.

Rum in the top of the cat tree, and Mimosa below him. One thing about Mimosa, she certainly likes that middle level!

It’s Churu time, and of course Reverb is front and center. (Everyone got some Churu – Spritz, Rum and Whiskey prefer not to be in the middle of a crowd, so I chase ’em down and offer the Churu.)

Khal’s all “Why you always up in my space, lady?” (He was annoyed because I was taking his picture instead of petting him!)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.

A Rum pie, with a side of Fizz lookin’ for trouble! (My favorite!)

Reverb is keepin’ an eye on me. (To answer the question several people asked yesterday: he does play a little here and there, but most of the time he sleeps or stares at me to let me know he thinks I should be serving him food. He’s still got a bit of an upper respiratory infection – it’s continuing to get better, but I’m sure he still feels a bit punky.)

Spritz is keepin’ Rum clean… and he’s not complaining!

Reese is a friendly girl about 5 months old, VERY playful and enjoys snuggles and petting on her own terms. (She hasn’t been a lapcat here, but I suspect she has lapcat potential.) She’s mostly about playing, chasing toys, and tussling with her foster siblings.

Fizz is the smallest of the bunch, but he will just jump on anyone and wrassle them down. Trouble is his middle name! (Good thing he’s so cute.)

Mimosa’s all “Watchin’ you, lady.”

Good night innernets. (Whiskey)

Robyn, The big water fountain that Fizz is next to – are the kitties fans or do they ignore it? Any recommendations? I have been through two fountains thus far and Elsie would have nothing to do with either one. Crazy, but after passing those along to friends to try, I am thinking of a third, as she does not drink much water out of any bowl, either. At least she eats wet food, and I pour a bit more water into her bowl, but she doesn’t let me get away with much of that! Thanks!
Thank you for asking this question. I just bought one of these all metal fountains and wondered if the Love and Hisses community had opinions on them? In the reviews they mention the water staying cleaner for the cats. I wondered if there are other benefits to the all metal fountain vs. the plastic ones?
I try to avoid plastic because I’ve had cats in the past who break out with chin acne when I feed/water with anything plastic. The metal (and ceramic too, for that matter) won’t absorb bacteria the way plastic can.
The fosters all like it and drink from it. I usually just use a ceramic bowl in the foster room, but these guys kept chasing each other THROUGH the water bowl and knocking it over and getting water everywhere, which was annoying me, so I got out the fountain to see if they’d like it. They do (a couple were weirded out at first, but adapted quickly), and since it’s higher than the water bowl was, they don’t run through it. (I should say… they haven’t yet, but I’m sure they’re working on it.)
I like this particular fountain – it’s the PETLIBRO fountain ( link for reference ) – because it’s quiet and it’s easy to adjust the nozzle.
My one real gripe about it is that you have to lift the lid to see the level of water – I’d love to have a clear window on the front so I can see whether I need to refill it.
It’s easy to clean (I’m pretty sure you can put the body of the fountain in the top of your dishwasher if you want, though I wash the whole thing by hand). They suggest you replace the filters every two weeks, but I do it once a week.
Hi Robyn, what color did you use to paint the foster room? I love that color!
That is Sherwin Williams – Rice Terrace – HGSW3296 . I really like it!
You do such a great job with them. There’s always one who wants more treats and then more treats.
