Maddy Magnesium and her kittens were trapped near where they’re currently building the Facebook Data Center here in Huntsville, Alabama. It was initially thought that Mama was feral because as soon as she saw people she was GONE every time, but once she was trapped it turns out that she’s nervous but very, very sweet. (I brought them home Monday morning, and by Tuesday mid-day Mama was coming over to be petted if I spoke to her.) The kittens were 6 1/2 weeks old when I got them on October 4th (their Date of Birth is August 15, 2021), eating on their own along with nursing, and using the litter boxes with very few accidents so far.
Their names came from a naming-theme suggestion from several years ago; they’re known collectively as the Elements.

Sammy Samarium was adopted on December 4th! He joins a family that includes a kitty sister, Mouse, who needs a friend. And he will remain Sammy!
Nikki Nickel and Ruthy Ruthenium were adopted – together! – on December 5th! They are now living in the Atlanta, Georgia area, and have a big sister, Buttons, who needed friends.
Barry Beryllium, Carli Calcium & Ozzy Osmium were adopted – together! Yes, all three to one home! – on December 7th. They’re the only kitties in their home (the only animals), and join a family with a little girl who will have lots of fun with those kittens! (They will keep their names.)
Maddy Magnesium was adopted on January 15th – she and Forgotten Felines kitty Walter were adopted together!
