Kittens’ date of birth: April 17, 2024.
Meander.
Meander – a dilute tortie or torbie, whichever you prefer – came to us, already quite pregnant, on April 14, 2024. She had shown up near someone’s home, where they were feeding other cats. They believed she had either been dumped or someone moved and left her behind, since she was far too friendly to be feral. When she came to us her belly was pretty active and we didn’t think we’d have long to wait – and we didn’t! Three days after we got her, she had her kittens, 6 of them, between 5 and 7 am.
Her kittens are Dillydally (orange tabby) and Bolt, Lollygag, Mosey, Skip and Skitter. They were white (or, in Mosey’s case, cream-colored) when they were born but at this time (they’re 2 weeks old as I’m typing this) they are starting to get colors on their ears and tails, so we imagine they’ll be Siamese/Color Point cats. At this point, I believe that all kittens are boys, but as mis-sexing kittens is part of the Love & Hisses brand (we don’t do it on purpose!), I’ll edit this page to reflect that if need be.

July 12, 2024: Dillydally was adopted! Her new name is Maple, and she joins a family that includes former foster Muffin (then Ouiser) and their floofy big brother Waffle. You can follow them on Facebook or Instagram.
July 13, 2024: Meander was adopted! She went to Kentucky, to a home that includes former foster Mollie (formerly Millinocket), who very much needed a friend.
July 13, 2024: Bolt was adopted! She went locally and joined former fosters Nala and Sarabi (formerly Kes and Troi).
July 19, 2024: Skip and Lollygag were adopted! They are now residents of Oregon – Skip will remain Skip, and Lollygag is now Lolly.
July 20, 2024: Skitter and Mosey were adopted! They are now residents of Marietta, Georgia, and have a new big sister named Athena. Skitter is now Pippin and Mosey is Merry – and you can see them on Instagram!
