In case you missed it on social media yesterday…
Sebastian and Margarita were adopted – together! – and went home to Kentucky to join former fosters Jethro (formerly Spock) and Elly May (Janeway), who we fostered in 2023.
They’re now Jed and Daisy, to continue the Beverly Hillbillies naming theme. (When Tammy told me she was going to continue the theme with these two, I thought “Jed… and Granny??” – apparently Granny’s name is Daisy, so that works out well!)
Of course I miss them, and the house is much quieter with them gone, but I know they’re going to be spoiled rotten, so I’m happy for them too.
We’re just sticking with the fosters we already have – the Alphabet Soup Gang – and not taking in more. This weekend I am finally reclaiming my office as an office, and getting my computer out of my bedroom, so I won’t have that space in the future as backup. Edited to add: Yes, I’m going to continue fostering, this is not me announcing that we won’t be fostering any more (I’d certainly make a bigger deal of it if that were the case!) We’re just sticking with one litter at a time from here on out. (Yeah, I know. Famous last words! But I am losing my backup space – my office – so I don’t know where I’d stick a pregnant cat or a mother and kittens without causing drama with the permanent residents and/or Fred.)
Today’s post includes the rest of the pictures I took of Margarita and Sebastian, who insisted on being particularly photogenic and adorable their last day here.
Margarita in the cube, adorable as always.
They sure make a cute tree even cuter.
Such sweet sleeping companions.
Remember what a hot mess she was when we got her? So gorgeous and sleek now!
They discovered Charlie’s flower cave yesterday, so I only got this one cute shot of them in it.
So many boxes, so little time.
Hanging out on Khal’s playground, with Khal.

Patsy says “I’m saving that formula for later.”
Patsy goes through the tunnel.
Patsy on the scratcher tunnel, Nolan considering the climb.
Nolan, keeping an eye on things.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
“What? We is havin’ a snuggle!” Margarita and Sebastian are the CUTEST (and they know it.)
⭐ Former fosters TC (Thunderclap Newman, 2014) and Jethro Tull (black and white tuxie) are keeping an eye on (and disapproving of) a wandering neighborhood kitty. (Thanks, Bonnie!)

Nolan’s got the zoomies. I love when kittens have the zoomies at this age, because they aren’t entirely sure yet just how those legs work, and when they go zooming in one direction, they always look like they’re thinking “WHAT is going ON?!”
Hooray, hooray, Sebastian & Margarita were adopted together today! They are headed home right now to Kentucky, where they will join former fosters Jethro (formerly Spock) and Elly May (Janeway), who we fostered in 2023! Sebastian is now Jed, and Margarita is now Daisy. Happy lives, sweet babies!! ❤️❤️
This Nolan pie (my favorite!) seems very suspicious.

(Back to add, Natalie memories won’t be clicking. I’ve had a tough few days remembering my poor Poppy cat . )
Oh, but your office will miss having kitties. And think of how lonely you’ll be in there all by yourself!
Charlie loves my office!
Well I’m glad you won’t be lonely but a new mama would be extra company! 🙂
SO happy for Sebastian/Jed and Margarita/Daisy!!! Always so wonderful when they go to former adopters, because we know for sure that they are good peoples 🙂 🙂 🙂
(LOVE the name “Daisy” too.)
Yay for kitties having kitty friends to live with!
Is the video above “Nolan’s got the zoomies.” supposed to be a video of Nolan? Currently it’s Alice Mo the Calico, which seems odd.
Oops, yep. It’s fixed now, thanks for letting me know!
Bonnie has two smug and happy doorstops.
The very happiest of lives to Margarita, Sebastian, their kitty siblings (who’re probably wondering what the heck happened right about now!) and their humans. May their be years and years of joy, laughter, and purrs ahead.
Seriously, from two teeny scraggly kits with uncertain chances to happy, healthy, playful purrbabies… talk about a glow-up! It’s still a wonderful thing to see. Just looking back at their early days, the transformation is amazing. <3
And Lilia, sweet silly kittengirl, I have not forgotten the gigglefit-inducing charming goofiness of the other day: Babies go in the lap, Lilia is a baby, soooo… Lilia goes in the lap! ::FLOP:: XD XD I was absolutely giggling RL. And I forever want to spell your name Lylia. No idea where that came from.
