7-14-15 Roundup: Lucy

On Saturday, this happened:

Not only did he get adopted, but we’ve already gotten an update on him over at Facebook! He’s doing great, getting into everything, and his new name is Gir.

This leaves Roseanne, Louis and Lucy at Petsmart, waiting to be adopted, but as I understand it there will be adoptions going through tonight. More about that in tomorrow’s post.

So, I am leaving for vacation tomorrow, and will be gone a couple of weeks. I don’t want y’all to go without something to look at every day, so for the next two weeks, we’ll be looking back at our Fools, Lucy one day, and then a kitten each day after that, and we’ll mix it up at the end.

Here we go!

Roundup: Lucy

Pretty Mama.

Lucy and her belly.

“Not impressed by this, Mister.”

“This is some rudeness, lady.”

The view from above (4 days before she gave birth).

Fun with the fisheye lens.

Those babies seem to all be leaning to starboard in this shot.

Getting kisses, and lookin’ smug.

Thinking about giving birth.

I’m lucky she didn’t smack me around. She was SO over my shenanigans by this point.

That could NOT have been comfortable.

The Belly.

Proud Mama.

Some time away.

Sweet girl.

A quiet moment to herself.

Mama in the sun (the kittens were almost two months old, and Lucy was having the occasional vacation time in Fred’s room.)

“Hey, Mister? Let me out?”

Pretty Mama.

Thoughtful Mama.

Sleepy Mama.

Eye on the feather teaser.

One last look.

A few Lucy videos? Of course!

  1. Oh, what a beautiful girl she is! Whoever adopts her are the luckiest, because I’d grab her in an instant as soon as she gave me a look with those big eyes of hers.

    Have a great vacation!

  2. Lucy sure was a sweet and TOLERANT mama! She is so sweet and purdy…I pray she gets adopted quickly as she will be a wonderful companion and a true gem!

  3. Seriously, she looked like she was going to give birth to a watermelon. SUCH a beautiful girl!!!

    Have a great vacation!!! πŸ™‚

  4. Have a wonderful vacation Robyn. Thanks for the roundups to look forward to.

  5. What a wonderful ride we had with Lucy and all the Fools!! You always have the best mamas. Here’s to a quick adoption for Lucy, Roseanne and Louis!

And Robyn, I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing, soul-restoring vacation. And as much as I love for you to come to SC and show off Myrtle Beach to everyone, it’s hot as heck right now so I hope you are going to a cooler climate! Safe Travels!

  6. Have a great trip! And thank you so much for putting together all these posts in advance so we don’t go through withdrawal. Hopefully everyone will be adopted by the time you get back.

  7. I read this comment once “Mother cats have to be all milk and patience”

  8. Poor Lucy, first that giant alien belly then those pesky brats all over her.

Have a great time Robyn, there have been a lot of ups and downs this year so please take some time for yourself.

  9. Thanks for thinking of us in your preparations to get away. We all will be looking forward to two weeks of fun pictures.

I hope you’ll pamper yourself throughout your time away…and that when you return there’ll be news that Lucy, Roseanne, Louis and Creed will all have been adopted into wonderful families!

      • She did – she was adopted with Marshall, who was with us this time last year, as a matter of fact. They ended up in a cage together (all the other kittens in his litter were adopted out), and became BFFs.

  10. Thanks, Robyn — you are always so generous with us. May your time away be refreshing, soothing, invigorating, enchanting, and enlightening (not all at once!). And good luck to Fred and his new girl, River, as well as to all the Permanent Residents in your absence.

  11. Fish eye picture is one of my faves! I was hoping Lucy would find a permanent home with you and Fred, but I’m sure her people will find her soon. Enjoy your vacation!

  12. Aw, so fun to look back at the pictures of Miss Lucy! I hope she finds her forever home quickly. She’s such a sweet girl.

  13. Such a pretty girl! Enjoy your vacation and take some R&R-you deserve it.

  14. So sorry about all the losses recently-it’s never easy.
Safe travels and hope you feel restored upon your return.(And if Louis is still at Petsmart, please go snatch him up and maybe Roseanne too. :P)

    • Thanks, Kirsten. I can’t snatch Roseanne up, she was adopted tonight. There was someone interested in Louis, but she didn’t show up tonight. There were strong thunderstorms, so I’m hoping that’s what kept her away.
