REMINDER: The Forgotten Felines of Huntsville auction is still going on – it ends Saturday at 7 PM Central Time, and there’s a lot of really cool stuff up for bid. Go check it out! (All proceeds benefit the Forgotten Felines of Huntsville Spay/Neuter fund!)

Are Matilda and Monty a bonded pair? They seem to be together a lot. 😉
I had 5 week old kittens where a couple were very bonded; they still are 3 years later! (They were foster fails, as if you couldn’t tell.)
I wouldn’t call them bonded pairs, but this bunch does tend to split up in Matilda/Monty, Nigel/Hazel and Benji/Margarita pairs.

margarita in the food plate is so cute, do you have to bath her after each meal?
I wipe her down with a wet wipe; the other kittens groom her, and she’s started to groom herself too.

This Benji-Margarita loaf (my favorite!) is very sassy.
Benji really likes to be belly-up.
It’s a Margarita pie (my favorite!) with a tiny little blep. (This caption made me wonder if there’s such a thing as a Margarita pie, and indeed there is!)
A Nigel pie (my favorite!) seems like just the thing for summer, doesn’t it?
All six kittens are in this picture! In the bed are Matilda, Hazel, Benji and Nigel. In the pie are Monty and Margarita.
Benji’s pose is cracking me up. And Hazel is clearly saying “‘Scuse me, coming through.”
Hazel and Nigel sit in the sun and discuss track toy strategy.
Clark’s all “You talkin’ to ME?”
I thought I was making a video of Clark kneading and purring, but apparently I was taking a picture of Clark kneading and purring.
Their reaction at 4 am when I flipped on the light and said “Who’s hungry?!” (Turns out THEY were hungry, big shock.)

In lieu of a permanent resident picture, how about a picture of a happy little Gerbera Daisy from my garden?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
Something about this picture has “Portrait Studio” vibes, and I think it’s Margarita’s tiny paws resting on the side of the loaf pan. Nigel’s distant stare doesn’t hurt, either. (Portrait Studio loaf! My favorite!)
Sebastian (right) got lost on the way to wherever he was going, and the tiny baby Ears of Annoyance are cracking me UP. (Clark snoozes, unaware.)
Throw Back Thursday: Having bottle babies makes me think of Starling in 2023, the slowest eater EVER. I had to feed her last, because the other three bottle babies would surely have starved while waiting for her to finish eating. (Starling is now Elaine, sister to Raven, who was formerly Tater!)
Sometimes when I look at Margarita (Little Mouse), I feel I may have accidentally taken a baby bat instead of a baby kitten.
Throw Back Thursday: The Cardsharks in 2021.
How to get an awesome kitten picture:
Step one: have an awesome cat tree.
Step two: walk into the room and find all the kittens on the cat tree.
Step three: Start the ceiling fan pull swinging back and forth.
Step four: take a ton of pictures.…
It’s a Matilda hugs and kisses pie! (My favorite!) (This might make a good Valentine’s Day card, no?)
“Tryin’ to sleep here, lady!” (Good night innernets!) (Clark (left) and Sebastian)
What type of wet wipes are you using? My older boy Tuxie is having problems keeping his ummm…”whiz biz” clean, and I have to wipe him down down there frequently. I’ve just been using wet paper towels, but he could stand to be a bit fresher.
When one of ours had diarrhea,the vet said to use unscented baby wipes.
I really like Waterwipes, which we buy several packs at a time at Walmart or Target. A lot of unscented wipes are not really (to my nose) unscented, but these don’t smell like anything at all.
I think Bash and Clark will become bonded given the fact they have spent so much time together
Boy, would I like to adopt that Benji-Margarita loaf. But, by 15-year old Calico would NOT be happy. She is my baby and won’t let me forget that fact!
This photo: Clark’s all “You talkin’ to ME?” Is actually a repeat of the Nigel and Hazel one.
Oops! Should be fixed now. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
When the 3 babies we hand raised were young, I used to do that, “Who’s hungry?” all the time in a decidedly high pitched and probably obnoxious tone. They always were and they always came. Miss them still.
I looked back thru the posts but I may have missed it, are the tube babies back on the bottles yet? I saw one post that said Sebastian was bottle feeding again but not Clark, is that right? Hope they both are back on bottles soon!
Unrelated to the actual post today, but–in persuing yesterday’s Previously links, I was reminded that it’s been two years since Jake crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Which seems impossible, by the way, and his dear, loony little face is still sorely missed; as a long-time L&H reader, I knew him almost from the time I came to join the party, as it were, and Robyn always brought him so delightfully to life through her photos and stories.
Anyway, I also recently ran across this picture on a Tumblr blog I follow, and it made me smile so much that I wanted to share it with everyone here. (You don’t need a Tumblr account to see the post.) This fellow’s expression definitely reminds me of Jake–and his mustache also made me think, “Hey, it’s Puff/Hook’s loonier cousin!” LOL
Aww, Jake.
This, right here, is very important information and I thank you for it:
