Have past mommas been as interactive with their babies as Lilia? She seems to be interested in their every move; I can’t recall a recent mom that wants much to do with her kids. Maybe your bottle feeding is making the difference (the little ones aren’t as interested in the milk bar so leave Lilia alone).
Most mamas are pretty attentive to their kittens, though I think Lilia’s particularly so. I think she’s anxious for them to get bigger so she can really play with them. She is SO playful!

Patsy’s giving off some real strong “I’ma kick your butt now, lady” vibes here.
I thought Lilia was going to pounce on Owen, but she never did. (She did do a butt wiggle or two, though!)
Nolan says “Listen, don’t get me wrong. I don’t WANT the bottle, but if there was a bottle of formula and you patiently squirted it in my mouth a drop at a time, I’d totally swallow it. I’m a GIVER.”
Owen’s all “Watchin’ you, lady.”
Owen’s telling Nolan “Don’t go in that tunnel. If you do, Mama will appear out of nowhere and POKE you. It’s kinda scary!”
The gray on Patsy’s chest and belly compared to how dark her face is is just endlessly fascinating to me. (You can see on her arm that the fur under the silvery gray is growing back black.)
Please also admire her sharp little teeth.
Lilia’s showing Patsy how to properly use the scratching post.
Nolan’s eyes are starting to change! I see green coming in. I hope all three kittens have eyes the same color as Lilia’s!

From the garden this week (not much, because it was HOT out there.)
Not the greatest shot, but I spotted this hummingbird moth flitting around the butterfly bushes at the back of the back yard, and followed it around for several minutes trying to get a picture. I think I’ve seen maybe three hummingbird moths in my entire life, so I got pretty excited. They’re so cool looking!

Khal and Charlie, hanging out in the back yard.
(Our permanent residents are allowed to go out into the back yard during the day. We have a cat fence around our back yard – got it from PurrfectFence.com – to keep the cats contained; they are not free-roaming.)
Throw Back Thursday: From 2016, Hemlock in the teddy bear basket we had mounted on the wall at Crooked Acres. (Hey, I still have the baby blanket in the bottom of that basket, and it’s held up very well all these years!)

Owen’s fighting with that toy banana, Patsy’s in my lap being adorable, and Nolan’s marching to the beat of his own drum while Lilia keeps an eye on them all. Also, an off-camera spit from Owen.
Owen in the pink Adirondack chair (yes, he got up there all by himself!)
