Archie & Stefan: Frenemies.
“Frenemies” is probably an overstatement, since they’re never really FRIENDS. They’ll just sometimes put up with (ignore) each other, like so:
Other times, Archie will fume from a distance.
“LOOK at his stupid orange self, sitting there like he OWNS the place, all dumb and happy. God, I hate him.”
“I HATE HIM, LADY.”
But then – usually when Stefan gets too close to Archie or looks at Archie or thinks about looking at Archie from too close, Archie takes offense, and he has to TELL STEFAN HOW IT IS.
I mean, that IS awfully close to Archie, but I suspect that Stefan thought moseying by Archie’s back end would be better than moseying by Archie’s bitin’ end, and Archie thought otherwise.
However, while Archie has an extensive vocabulary of very rude words, he’s never the one to deal the first blow. Archie’s mouth will write the checks, but Stefan’s whappin’ paw will cash them.
This confrontation was all talk – I eventually went out there to make a video (I mean, DUH) and then scooped Stefan up and brought him inside.
