I’ll be leaving here in a bit with Lilybet. She’s off for spaying! No babies for her!

Trying to decide where to hide…

“I’m not Lilybet! I’m Jake! See the loony face?!”

Pondering… “Well, you know, I don’t really LIKE kittens. They’re annoying and they’re needy and they expect me to lick their butt. This is probably for the best!”

I’m sure she’ll do just fine, and she’ll be back home tomorrow morning wondering what happened.

Robin has his eye…

…on something pretty amazing…

That ceiling fan is certainly something to behold!

Did you think that Batman was the only superhero at Crooked Acres? Au contraire! SuperLunk is on the job as well!

Is his super power tiptoeing very quietly across the room?

Or making us laugh?

All day yesterday, it felt like Thursday to me. So when I was choosing pictures for today’s post, I chose some Corbie pictures.

I hope it isn’t confusing for y’all to see Corbie’s beautiful face a day early!

Smug kitteh is smug.

Oh, he is just THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING.

Those poor Alpharetta cats. It’s obvious there was a lot of fighting going on amongst the males. Oh well. At least they’re safe now and I hope they find homes!

    Best wishes for Lilybet’s surgery today. I’m sure she’ll do fine – she’s well-rested and well-fed! ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s good to see Lunk, Batman and Robin having a good time. They must be so happy to be getting a break from the cages! How is Lunk’s eye?

As for Corbie, the word is gorgeous, isn’t it? ๐Ÿ˜‰

His eye is slowly improving. It’s not all better yet, but it’s much better than it was when I brought him here on Saturday, that’s for sure.

Lilybet made sure I knew, when I went in to scoop her litter box this morning, that she is NOT well-fed, not at ALL, exCUSE me lady, the food that is supposed to go RIGHT HERE seems to be missing! ๐Ÿ™‚

Look! Up the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s SuperLunk!!! I’m so jealous… you get all of the superhero kittens. Mine just snuggle and purr. ๐Ÿ˜‰

See, Lilybet? If you were giving us babies, you would have gotten breakfast this morning? Rather regretting it now, aren’t you?

Sounds like the situation Tyrion was pulled from. White cats are likely to get adopted fast!

Um, are we sure the pregnant cat isn’t SuperLunk. He is looking decidedly roundish in the mid-section in some of the pictures. Just saying. By the way, I wish you would show some pictures of good looking cats once in a while. Heh.

Oh, Lunk is a big guy! Maybe I should set up the maternity ward for him. ๐Ÿ˜€

It looks like most of the cats rescued are already spayed/neutered. Not all – but the majority of them at least. It really looks more like she just collected cats, and not just any cats, she was pretty selective about the way they looked. There is only one tabby on the site, and I’m not positive he came from that house. And there’s not one single one with siamese point markings of any sort. I’m hoping that because they look fairly healthy and really pretty well cared for considering the conditions they were found in, that they’ll get adopted quickly. If I didn’t live in a smallish apartment with two that are so very territorial I’d already have gone and gotten two of them probably. Thanks Robyn for sharing the info!

I cannot tell you how much I love the picture of Mr. Lunk on his tippy toes! As always – they are all looking beautiful and happy!

Corbie does look incredibly smug in that pic. All he needs is a smoking jacket and a pipe! ๐Ÿ™‚

LOL! That is exactly what he needs to complete the picture. Maybe a glass of cognac too.

does the mixed-up-ness of the week mean we get TWO days of Corbie? Well, that is grand!
That Lilybet is sure beautiful…so very partial to torties. She also seems so lively.

what is it about ceiling fans???? we have that here too….I am waiting for someone to fall off the cat tree while staring at the fan ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Lisa says:
      February 21, 2013 at 11:03 am

I turned the ceiling on when I had some fosters several years ago and they acted like it was going to come down and chop them up. They all ran under the bed to hide. I had to leave it off and they still looked at it suspiciously.

      1. Cheech says:
        February 21, 2013 at 9:49 pm

Mine do that too, the first time I turn it on when it warms up. They’ll run to the room where the fan is, and then they slink across the room, belly to the ground, all hunched down for at least a day, like the fan is actually running 6 inches off the floor! Of course, I’m very sympathetic and laugh at them the whole time. Uh…..I’m pretty sure that fan is at least 7 feet above you, you ninnies, so unless you have jet propulsion and fly straight up, I think you’re safe.

That is too bad about he situation in GA. I hope al the cats can get adopted. BTW, we are still waiting on word from anyone in the Pensacola, FL area that would love a 2 yo ginger who has disabled front paws.
Also, the Lunk pictures show a cord in the background which leads perfectly into my question of he day: How do you get cats to NOT chew on thin cords? She has ruined three of them now!

    1. Lisa says:
      February 21, 2013 at 11:05 am

Get some of that bitter apple spray (just wash your hands if you touch anything you spray it with). It will definitely deter chewing. None of mine have ever chewed cords. The closest one comes is chewing plastic bags. Foster kittens once chewed through the sensor wire from my old Wii system. But they left other cords alone.
