Thank you all so very much for your kind words about Suzie Q; I appreciate it more than you can know. And thank you also SO much for your donations on her behalf. Y’all are the very best, and I appreciate you all so much!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nolan, Owen and Patsy came through their spay/neuters just fine! We were home a little after noon, they ate some lunch, and then napped the afternoon away. By bed time (bed time for the HUMANS, that is; the kittens decided to stay up and play) they were back to their usual playful selves. It’s amazing how quickly they bounce back!
Nolan says “There seems to be something missing, but I’m not sure what.”
Owen, messing up my desk. He likes to bunny-kick the post-its.
Owen’s got a fishy (which he is bunny-kicking! I guess that boy has a favorite move.)
Patsy, taking down the dish towel.
And Patsy, nuzzling around in Charlie’s belly fur hoping for a milk bar. (Charlie is so good with the foster kittens; I wish he was this nice with the adults!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Esmerelda also did well yesterday! I took her with me so she could be tested (she tested negative), get her FVRCP vaccination, and be ID chipped. Michelle aged her at about 18 months old, and shaved her belly to look for a spay scar. There was no scar, and so she’s going today to be spayed.

She did SO well at Michelle’s. It’s a little bit of a madhouse there on spay/neuter day, and Esmerelda just sat there and watched everything going on. The only time she showed the slightest bit of attitude was when one of Michelle’s dogs got too nosy, and then it was just a slap in the dog’s general direction, and a spit. Cats came over to check her out, and she just watched them, and occasionally sniffed at them. She is just the sweetest girl.

Sweet girl with QUITE the long tail.

Cutie!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Those little pink toes!
From top: Mambo, Flamenco, Tango and Sashay.
“Whatchoo doing with my kitten, lady?” wonders ChaCha.
Flamenco wonder what’s going on, too.
I love Flamenco’s little torbie head in that sea of orange.
Fred built that set of stairs with the platform on top a lonnnng time ago (I don’t remember exactly when, but it was for Spot, who passed in 2008). Charlie’s been lying on the platform a lot lately, and then all of a sudden Khal said “Oh, that DOES look comfy!” and took it over, leaving Charlie to sleep on the bottom of the cat tree. I’m a little surprised that Charlie didn’t cram himself on the platform next to Khal.
Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
These three (Nolan, Owen & Patsy, in proper order) are off for their spay/neuters today! I imagine we’ll be back home early to mid-afternoon, will all of us ready for a nap.
🎉 Former fosters Cosmos (formerly Monty) and Dahlia (Hazel) are total lapkittens. Tabatha reports that she can’t get her lap to herself with those two around! Later, Dahlia moved over to snuggle with big brother Dandelion, who might’ve been a little annoyed, but stayed and cleaned her ears. What a good big brother! (Thanks, Tabatha!)
The Tiny Dancers are hissing again. They look even more like little cobras now that they can hold themselves upright (though Flamenco doesn’t mind hissing from a lying position, thank you.) I believe their hissing days are coming to an end – usually once their eyes open, the hissing stops pretty soon after, and Mambo has one open eye. I expect more open eyes soon!
Nolan, Owen and Patsy came through their spay/neuters just fine! They’re a little bit dopey, but after a nap I’m sure they’ll be racing around here like crazy things.
Esmerelda came through her testing (negative, yay!) just fine, got her FVRCP vaccination, and her ID chip. Michelle aged her at 18 months, and shaved her belly to check for a spay scar (there was none.) And she’s going tomorrow to be spayed!
I love a happy, purring mama and wiggly, nursing kittens.
It cracks me up, how often I see all three of them playing in that spiral tunnel.
Good night innernets. (Tango (left) and Flamenco, who are both nursing in their sleep!)
    The adorable distractions are a relief from this stressful world. The very little ones are too adorable for words. Glad all went well with the spay/neuters.
    Good days ahead!
    A dish towel hunter! Glad to see that Archie’s hunting of dish towels lives on in the fosters 🙂
