Sebastian and Margarita like this cat tree.
“And it is very cute, which makes me – already extremely cute – even more so!”
So when I moved Lilia and her kittens into the foster room (after 3 hours of scrubbing, vacuuming and mopping!), I moved this tree into my office so that Bash and Madge could continue to enjoy it.
And they do! (Well, Margarita likes that other cat tree too, as it turns out.)

If you’ve ever wanted a look at Nolan’s belly, here you go. Some people pointed out that it looks like he’s wearing a little black tie – which I can totally see. It also kind of looks like a white wishbone.

Nolan would like it known that Patsy is a comfy pillow.
Patsy says “You got a bottle for me?”

Nolan’s stress coat has really come through in the past few days. (And yes, I’m positive it’s a stress/fever coat – under that silvery gray, it’s growing in black.)
As mentioned up there, I spent all Friday morning scrubbing/vacuuming/mopping the foster room, and then I plopped Lilia in the crate with her kittens, zipped it closed, and took them all into the foster room. For about the first day, Lilia was just a tad nervous – either in the crate or very close by. But by yesterday she was comfortable hanging out across the room, chasing toys I tossed for her, and sitting in the window checking out the view.
Sebastian and Margarita are handling the move just fine. Their litter box, food/water and favorite toys are in my office, I keep the door open, and they have access to the rest of the house. I worried that they’d be freaked out by not being able to get into the foster room, but they took it in stride. It’s only been a few nights, but so far they sleep part of the night with me and part of the night in various spots in my room or the office. I’ve heard them playing a few times in the middle of the night, but they’re not keeping me awake or attacking my feet, so it’s going well!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
In the first picture (where Sebastian is looking at the wall), I never noticed that little heart shape on his left side, above his foot. CUTE. And in the second picture, Margarita looks VERY much like a midcentury modern cat to me (if you don’t know what that is, a quick Google search will bring up a million examples.)
🎉 Former fosters 🎉 Nala (formerly Kes (2023), calico), Sarabi (Troi (2023), tortie) and Bolt (2024) are doing great! Amanda reports that they love each other and love to lie down and cuddle with one another. How sweet is that? (Thanks, Amanda!)

Owen leaves the crate (and Patsy, who has left the crate multiple times at this point) can’t remember how to leave the crate. Then mama Lilia returns to the crate to tend to her kittens, but then comes out for some lap time.

Sebastian and Margarita are working on their bunny-kicking, and then playing in the awesome box o’ paper.
“Uncle Khal SAID we could play with his track toys!” Uh huh. Sure he did.
Charlie jumped down from the window bed and startled Margarita and Sebastian; she meowed at him and Sebastian gave him the ol’ floof tail.

I have a lap full o’ kittens… at least until mama decides it’s time for me to put them back in the crate.
Kittens in my lap, and Lilia’s whiskers as she keeps an eye on them.

Sebastian makes the leap from the scratcher to the bed, like a big boy! Once at regular speed, once in slow motion.
Good night innernets. (Sebastian & Margarita)
Margarita and Sebastian check out the view. (They have such pretty eyes!)
🎉 Former fosters Cosmos (Monty) and Dahlia (Hazel) continue to do great! They’re silly, sweet, goofy lapcats who zoom around and play like crazy. Also, a picture of their gorgeous big sister, tortie Marigold, who is beyootiful! (Thanks, Tabatha!)

I had just fed the kittens (I am supplementing them with formula because she’s not producing enough milk), and Lilia came over and flopped down. So I set the kittens down next to her and they started rolling around and being adorable… and so did Lilia!
🎉 Former fosters Arlo (formerly Nigel) and Emmylou (formerly Matilda) continue to be the very best of friends. Look at those content little faces! (Thanks, Bethany!)

Napping with kittens: I highly recommend.
I told Owen it wasn’t time for a bottle, and he TATTLED on me to Lilia, who gave me THIS look. Feels like I’m in trouble!
🎉 Former foster 🎉 Bolt! I posted some pictures of her (and her sisters) the other day; here’s a shot of her pretty face. 😻 (Thanks, Amanda!)
Good night innernets. (Sebastian, with his head on my shoulder. Margarita is on the other side of me.)
