Patsy, Nolan and Owen are really enjoying rolling around on their backs, kicking their legs in the air.

Owen just had his formula and he’s in a milk coma.

I wish I had video (or pictures) of this, but I had my hands full at the time, so you’ll just have to imagine it. Last night, I was giving the kittens their formula. I always feed Patsy first because she’s the easiest of the three. While I was feeding – and focusing on – her, Owen climbed OUT of the crate, came over to me and climbed into my lap and started snuffling around. That’s more coordinated and focused than I’m used to seeing in a 2 week old! (And along those lines, I’ve now got Owen occasionally latching onto the bottle, so that’s progress! Nolan is proving to be a harder nut to crack, but I’ll get there… OR they’ll start eating on their own which will solve that problem… though we’ve got weeks yet before that happens, I suspect.)

The Alphabet Soup Gang is 2 weeks old, and aren’t they cute? Nolan and Owen are showing off their pretty eyes, but Patsy’s taking her time still (I can see her eyes peeking through, I don’t think it’ll be much longer.)

I’m now supplement feeding the kittens every 3 hours because Lilia’s not producing enough milk and they need some extra. They’re handling it okay (Patsy’s doing great; the boys are a little more wary of the formula, but I’m getting enough into them.)

If they weren’t a bonded pair before, they certainly are now – if they’re not playing together, they’re curled up together sleeping (though sometimes they do sleep separately), and if one of them can’t find the other, they walk through the house howling mournfully until they’re reunited. They are just the CUTEST, and I am baffled that they’re not adoption pending yet. They go for their spay & neuter next week (the 23rd) and can go home as early as the following weekend.

There’s fresh bedding in the crate (Lilia approves!) and then Lilia comes out for snuggle and we keep an eye on the kittens. Then you get a close-up view of Lilia’s belly (her c-section scar has healed nicely!) and she returns to the crate. Action-packed? No. But cute!
