Time to let me know if you want a holiday card, with this year’s featured Crooked Acre permanent resident! Go here to Postable, enter your name and address, and your card will be on the way soon. I am happy to send cards to other countries, this is NOT limited to U.S. residents. If you have any problems, drop me an email and I’ll do my best to fix it. I’ll take names and addresses until December 20th.

If you’d like to send me a card as well (never ever required, but always appreciated – I don’t keep track of who does or doesn’t send a card, I promise!), send it to:

(PS: If that link doesn’t work for you, or you prefer not to enter your info (I delete your name and address once I’ve downloaded it), you can email me instead.)

Love seeing Charlie decked out in the turkey hat. I think Alice is the original who really rocks it!

I didn’t include Alice in the turkey hat in yesterday’s social media posts, but in case anyone wants to see it, here it is. From 2017, Turkey Alice.

How is Shelby doing weight wise? She still looks so tiny, sweet girl.

She’s gaining verrry slowly, but she IS gaining. She was up to 1 pound, 3 ounces (538 g) a couple of days ago. She gave up her bottle about a week ago, and she’s finding her appetite – I give her small supplemental meals throughout the day, and then she also eats canned food 3 times a day with the others – and of course kibble is available at all times, and she’s getting the hang of that as well. I feel like once she finally hits two pounds (whenever that is), I’ll feel like I can relax. But WILL I? (Probably not!)

Drum’s got opinions.

Drum’s like “What’s that over there?” but Clairee has her eye on ME.

M’Lynn is just such a pretty girl.

Drum’s eyes are just so PRETTY. I love the orange around his pupil.

Shelby atop the scratcher (where I put her) and Ouiser on the floor, wondering what’s going on.

Ouiser’s pretty eyes.

Annnd Clairee’s pretty eyes!

Ouiser atop the little blue cat tree, lookin’ guilty.

Drum, also lookin’ guilty! What’s with the guilty-looking kittens today?

Shelby has a sleepy.

Charlie enjoys some sunshine.

Throwback Thursday: Turkeys from previous years (that hat looks good on everyone!)

Back in 2020, when we were fostering the Vittles litter, which was 15 kittens (not all related to each other – there were two sets of 5, two sets of 2, and one singleton, all put together in one crazy litter), they had ringworm. So not only was I treating them with medication, I also needed to clean the foster room so they wouldn’t reinfect themselves. Every other day I’d put them all in one big crate so that I could mop the floor, and then I’d set them free (they were only in the crate for about 10 minutes while we waited for the floor to dry). Someone asked how on earth I got them in the crate, so I made this video. See? Easy! (HA.)

Happy Thlurrrpsday to you from this M’Lynn pie (my favorite!)

Throwback Thursday: From 2021, when we were fostering the Elements kittens – they had a tent that they loved to flatten! (Also, that was before we painted the walls in the kitten room. I much prefer the current blue-green with white trim!)

Obviously this Shelby pie (my favorite!) has learned her mother’s perfect form for Thlurrrpsday.

Good night innernets from this sleepy little Ouiser pie. (My favorite!)
