Martini, Fizz, Rum, Spritz, Mimosa and Whiskey all came from the same place – a hoarding situation – and while they might be full siblings, it’s impossible to know. There’s definitely some sort of familial connection.
Reese came from a local trailer park, and Reverb came from somewhere in Tennessee. Reverb had very badly infected eyes, and while his eyes look much better now, there’s a lot of scarring. It doesn’t cause him pain and he can definitely see, just not as well as your average cat.
This bunch came to us with upper respiratory infections; they are slowly getting better. Unfortunately, just a couple of days after we got them, Martini seemed not to be doing well, so got a visit to the vet where they discovered that he was very sick. The vet did everything they could, but ultimately it was clear that Martini wasn’t going to recover, and so we made the decision to say goodbye. (You can read the post about that here.) The other kittens are improving and doing well, but of course we’ll keep a close eye on them.
