Josiah came to Forgotten Felines in 2012 as a foundling. A kind soul had seen him walking for 3 days with his arm stuck through his collar before he was finally rescued. In the end, we figured out he was 8 yrs old and declawed on all 4 feet…. yet not neutered! Worse yet, he was put outside when his owners moved away. He developed a raging bladder infection and diabetes, probably due to the enormous stress his body went through. He overcame his bladder infection, and his diabetes was under control when a calici virus hit him and we nearly lost him. However, with some wonderful vetting and plenty of TLC, he has overcome that as well and has gone from 7 lbs to over 14! Now he is a big, handsome, LOVING boy who enjoys lying anywhere he can… and LOVES to be loved!
Sox came to Forgotten Felines in 2010. His elderly owner had died and the owner’s daughter took him in. Unfortunately, she had other animals that terrified him so he lived under the bed for the 6 months she had him. Because of his fear, he was headed to animal control when Forgotten Felines intervened. Originally Sox was so fearful, he would hide in one place and rarely come out to eat or drink. That is, until Josiah came along. He was moved into a room with Josiah in hopes they would keep each other company and that they did! They became fast friends and best buddies and are hoping to be adopted to a forever home together! Sox has relaxed quite a bit since then and loves to snuggle with Josiah. Between the two of them, they are a large mass of gray and white, soft-as-a-bunny fur just waiting to have a home of their own.
