Hang on in there, hope you have enough power to boil kettle (actually maybe you don’t have one, since you’re American, it’s the first we think of in Britain is how are we going to make a cup of tea if power is out!!) and hope you can get hot water for showers!
One of my first thoughts in a power outage too. I have a small rechargeable battery pack that will let me heat water without getting the generator going. If it’s in the winter I can use my wood stove. I live in the Maritimes.
So how are your cat herding skills? Do you roundup all the kitties when there is bad weather and get them in a shelter? I really enjoy your posts.
